Whether you're new at Grace or just interested in digging deeper into community, here are a few great ways to plug in to what's happening at our church.
1. Attend a weekly worship service.
“Faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”
- Romans 10:17
Each Sunday we come together as a church to participate in a time of gathered worship. We walk through the gospel together— singing songs about God's greatness, confessing our need for Him, rejoicing in His grace, studying His word, and working to respond with lives of thankfulness, joy, and obedience. We believe that these time of gospel-centered community are important to the life of a believer, as a chance to sharpen each other and to see God at work in our midst. Joining us each Sunday is a great way to learn to trust God's grace know Him better.
2. Join a small group.
“Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.”
- Proverbs 27:17
One of our core values at Grace is that we believe in and practice missional community. A simple definition of a missional community is, "a group of friends growing in their faith and bringing hope to their city". We believe that the Christian life is meant to be lived in direct, personal contact with other believers— worship together, studying God's word and applying it together, confessing to one another, and bearing each other's burdens. One of the best ways to pursue living a Christ-centered life at Grace is to join one of our weekly small groups and start working together to build and extend our missional community.
3. Serve others for Christ.
“We are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works.”
- Ephesians 2:10
The Bible calls us again and again to respond to God's grace by serving one another with thankful hearts. Because of the grace that God showed us in Christ, and the example of service that he displayed for us, we are able to treat one another as more important than ourselves and work for the ultimate good of those around us. One way that this important aspect of the Christian life can be lived out is by serving in a Christ-centered ministry.
